Mentor Coordinator

As the Mentor Coordinator, I am very pleased to say that SET has been very successful and valuable to the students involved this past year and a half.

My role includes meeting and introducing SET into the current schools to get the student referral process started for each. Referrals can come from educators, families, and students themselves (over 19 years of age). I then meet with each student individually to discover their interests and/or goals. I then assign a mentor who can share experiences and the same interests with a referred student. In concert with the Mentors, we develop a mentoring plan and then discuss with the students and families. I meet with mentors, students, and families regularly to evaluate the mentoring process to ensure outcomes for each student are being reached.

I am confident we will continue to expand and see great outcomes in our student’s future.
